Abstract This study is about movements which visitors in museums select in exhibition space. Visitors in exhibition space are influenced by movements according to location of exits and display. Visitors can be divided into two groups; ones who have positive will to watching all exhibitions; and the others who want to look around as if they enjoy walking. But, it seems that those who have passive will to watching tend to leave out approach to display more than those who have positive will, and this can make a problem in the displaying plan when their movements are not related to main displays which the museum aims to expose. Visitors are expected to be influenced by the direction when entering the exhibition space, whether there is continuity in display within their view, whether their own movements are efficient movements in relevant exhibition halls and whether their own movements keep continuity in display through constant feedback when selecting their movements. Museums should prepared to provide qualified experience to visitors by considering passive visitors, arranging main displays for them, or using various kinds of devices which can lead them to make movements to other exhibition space when making a display plan.
