Abstract |
Along with the policy for green growth, the housing policy has been focusing on development of energy reduction design and technologies. However, “The Housing Maintenance and Improvement Project” in Korean government have aggravated the impoverishment of residents and this problem has led to a poor living circumstance, especially in rural areas. For those reasons, rural communities require to improve residential environments and to reduce housing maintenance costs. Therefore, it is needed to construct quantified database on energy reduction design. BIM technology, which is frequently used for the research and development of energy reduction, enables to do various simulations using 3D information modeling. This study aims to analyze a correlation between Thermal Buffer-Zone design and energy efficiency, using BIM technology. This experiment is implemented with two variables, Buffer-Zone’s shape and design type. In aspect of the Buffer-Zone’s shape, Thermal Buffer-Zone length had the biggest impact on reduction of internal heating energy. The second and third biggest impact are depth and height. Then, in aspect of Buffer-Zone’s design type, roof form had the biggest effect on reduction of internal heating energy. The second and third biggest impact are window area's rate of Thermal Buffer Zone wall and roof material’s heat transmission coefficient. In conclusion, it is expected that this research would help to improve a residential environment and activate researches on rural-housing design for energy reduction, and provide basic data for establishing a relation between design elements and energy in the future. |
