Abstract The objective of this study is to evaluate the influence of the blind position on the energy performance with a double-skin facade system. First, we measured indoor and intermediate space temperature from 4th of June to 10th of July. And EnergyPlus simulation was performed during the same period. After that, MBE & Cv(RMSE) were analyzed to validate the measurement and simulation results. As a results, the cooling load derived by EnergyPlus program with exterior blind is 54.9%(peak load 39.8%) smaller than that of no blind. And the cooling load derived by EnergyPlus with interior blind is 28.2%(peak load 18.1%) smaller than that of no blind. So, we can see that exterior blind has better thermal performance than interior blind.
