Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to establish the weights of each elements of CPTED guidelines in order to develop more refined evaluation model to assess the appropriateness of CPTED design in multi-family housing. In order to do that, 172 CPTED gudielines were collected and categorized into 4 level 1 categories and 19 level 2 categories, and weights for each categories were established through the Analytic Hierarchy Process. Scores of each categories calculated from Anaytic Hierarchy Process were compared with scores of each categories in CPTED guidelines of Seoul Metropolitan City and in Korea CPTED Association. In addition to comparative analysis with two guidelines, observation and interview study in 3 multi-family housings which were built recently were conducted to suggest the directions in developing evaluation model. |
