Abstract A construction document is one of the major data proceedings in a construction project. The management of a wide variety of documents in the construction process has much to do with the efficiency of business operation. However, construction documents have not been shared and reused efficiently due to its huge amount and unsystematic management. In this study, the construction knowledge map is developed by case analysis of the beginning/end relation between construction documents through IDEF0 and by draw up a matrix for connection of process, activity and document type with connection coefficient. Also a prototype document management is suggested that is designed to store and utilize actual documents using connection coefficient. Interview with experts resulted to a positive evaluation on the effectiveness of the proposed document management.
