Abstract |
This study aims to extract planning elements that can be applied and utilized to housing by analyzing zero-emission housing application technology in order to be used as basic research data for organizing Low Carbon, Green Growth-based zero-emission houses, which saves housing energy considering environmental problems and energy shortage in the near future where global warming and energy shortage is predicted. In the case of housing, energy was saved mainly through eco-materials, such as timber, southward placement, and insulation. Zero-emission houses, however, demonstrate specific technology that applied natural elements to housing; the case can be considered to increase the economical efficiency and comfortableness of living environment. The concept, characteristics, and key technologies featured in case analysis has appeared. Housing architecture of Japan that used actively utilized the sun in terms of placement and point of the compass southward and used natural environmental elements, such as Heating/Cooling, Daylight, Air/Wind, and Water. Housing is formed in a rectangular type and plane is demonstrated in a line type. This is highly related to solar energy acquirement and is advantageous to natural ventilation as well as cross ventilation shown in cross-section. |
