Abstract |
This paper suggest the BIM-library categorization of Korean traditional buildings using parametric & associate design methods. In order to industrialize Korean traditional buildings, it is necessary to standardize and integrate the categorization system by introducing current digital technology and application software. BIM(Building Information Modeling) based generative application, such as the commercial BIM applications can formalize and generate parametric design process that can be explored. Parametric models can provide important geometric flexibility and support an iterative design refinement process. Therefore, the aim of this case study is to discuss the possibilities of parametric design using BIM system for industrialization of Korean traditional buildings and extend the category standards of the BIM-library and the information flow between parametric and multidisciplinary tools. |
