| Abstract |
The purpose of this research is to study the consciousness of participants in the public environmental design in Cheong-ju. The contents of this research consist of two main parts. The first part is to review the concept of the public environmental design and the projects of the public environmental design in Korea. The second part is to analyze participants' consciousness on the public environmental design. The results show that the consciousness of participants on the public environmental design is different in Cheong-ju. Users' views emphasize 'economical efficiency' and 'Usability' on the public environmental design. Executives' views emphasize 'sustainability', 'safety' and 'landscape' on the public environmental design. Specialists' views emphasize 'sustainability' and 'landscape' on the public environmental design. The research shows that the public environmental design must be planned and executed, based on the characteristics of participants' views. |
