| Abstract |
In Korea, the discussion on the traditionality of contemporary architecture was started in 1970's, and various study have lasted until now. But the most result of the precedent study were focused on the exterior space, shape and materials rather than interior space. The residential type of Korea was rapidly changed in the modernization process. In Japan, by accepting western architecture, the existing house was rapidly changed during the Meiji era(1868-1912), and western style house was in fashion. Although, they, who discussed on the traditionality from 1910's, succeeded in globalizing their architecture by modernizing the traditional elements of Japanese architecture. But, the contemporary house of Korea, still stay in the modern expression, which are concentrated in shape and materials. In this study, the expression tendency of traditionality in Japanese contemporary detached house was analyzed. The result of it will be used as the reference for the study on the expression method of traditionality in the contemporary house of Korea. |
