Abstract The goal of this study was to figure out the academic achievements of the architectural engineering major students. The detailed research objectives are 1)to investigate differences of GPA scores between the former students who entered before the year of 2002 (group KA) and the students who entered after the year of 2002 (group NA). The reason why the year of 2002 was selected was the School of Architecture at A University set up ABEEK accreditation system in 2002. The research also tried to find out the differences of scholastic achievements between two genders (male students and female students) with respect to the the program outcomes criteria such as specified liberal arts, languages, MSC, architectural design/planning, and engineering issues(structrue, environmental design, construction) regulated by ABEEK. The research selected all the 426 former architectural engineering students who entered the school from 1995 to 2007 as research samples. Then, the research divided them into two groups with 261 'before' students (Group KA) and 165 'after' students (Group NA). With vigorous analyses, the research found statistically different GPA scores between KA and NA groups. Thus, the study tried to investigate KA and NA groups seperately in order to analyze the differences of academic achievements between genders for the individual courses. The research results revealed some differences of scholastic achievements between genders in some courses. And generally female students' academic achievements were found to be much improved recently although their grade points of mathematics and structure courses were always lower than those of male students.
