Abstract |
The damage of truss structures is detected by using two-step optimization based on anti-optimization method and genetic algorithm(GA). Anti-optimization method is used to estimate the location of the damage by searching for optimal load distribution to maximize the strain energy difference between healthy and damaged structures. In the next step, more detailed location and the extent of the damage can then be accurately assessed by using genetic algorithm. Numerical results show that the present method is accurate and efficient in damage detection of truss structures. |
