Abstract The urban space is filled with lots of buildings up to now, but the formative design isn't harmonized with the surrounding environment and urban environment and it is caused awareness as formality for the right to use buildings. The integrated urban environment design took on unplanned aspect while it isn't harmonized with the whole urban environment in an excess of emphasis on formative elements rather than setting up buildings harmonized with human and environment through making user relationships and shortage of political supports. In order to design architectural plans, it is necessarily important to study about directions for improvements toward views from user's satisfactions as well as architect's importance values. This study primarily drew the degree of consideration on formative design elements and architect's importance values regarding to various types of buildings in business and commerce areas. With these results, the study analyzed expressive characteristics of formative design Classified by Clusters by Types of Architectural Thought about Buildings in Urban Space.
