Abstract Last year Korea suffered from unprecedented disaster due to man-made, natural calamity and disease. Among them, foot and mouth disease damaged the whole korean people in economical, societal, and psychological aspects. Korean government and farms did their best trying to get over that disaster. But the result was so horrible and nobody can certainly say we would be safe next infection. Research was focused to improve the environment of the pigsty with the concept of HACCP which means 'hazard analysis critical control point' for clean food processing control. As a result a Pilot design is suggested for pigsty preventing the spread of foot and mouth disease from the view of architecture, site planning like farm, and finally regional planning for the farm village. Even though this design has never built and verified so far, this ideas can product the very valuable results for the whole korean society with the followed research and development of the design with mock-ups.
