Abstract This paper aimed at contributing to Han-ok design through analyzing of the Han-ok standard drawing and suggesting several improvements. Furthermore, this study aimed at suggesting han-ok design methods as design process for planning and sectioning. The results are as follow. The han-ok standard drawing was designed faithfully based on 3M module and was designed in accord with third-generation life-cycle and modern dwelling life. But the results of correlation analysis between span and size of main parts, there were not any relationship between them. On the other hand, there were some relation between width and height of girder. The improvement for han-ok standard design is that a reflection of present trends of han-ok design is needed. And regulations for han-ok design according to han-ok size and style are required. At last, for developing and industrializing of han-ok, standardization of size of parts is essential.
