Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to find the proper physical formation of the contemporary public space in terms of collectivity. To understand the proper characters of the publicness in contemporary city, it is necessary to reconsider the relation between publivness and privacy. Through study on the new types of the public spaces which had not existed before, up-to-date publicness can be comprehended. Collective space which are often used as a term instead of public space in the Western Europe these days, reflects the identity of the new publicness and the way of co-existence with others. Therefore, the analysis of these collective spaces will pave the ways for physical realization of the new publicness. |
