| Abstract |
The purpose of this research is to analyze the current condition of passenger facilities and he characteristics of users behaviors in it, to evaluate the characteristics of it according to universal design, and to suggest space planning and design of rail passenger facility as user-friendly living environment. The analysis criteria, which include convenience, selectivity, safety, amenity, and eco-friendly condition, and detailed evaluation item were assorted through literature review. The analysis was based on the collected data from field survey carried out to investigate the physical characteristics of movement facility, ticketing facility, convenience facility, and information facility of 2 rail passenger facilities in Gyeonggi-do. The analysis results were suggested by space planning and environmental design of user-friendly rail passenger facility according to universal design. |
