Abstract |
In this study, the changes of space emotions on the space image planned out with focus on finishing material and lighting were identified depending on their expression methods through evaluation of their emotion vocabularies, and the following study conclusions were reached: First, the correlation of finishing material and lighting particularly significantly affects the change of space emotion, where major space emotions were classified into 'comfort', 'friendliness', 'sense of being practical' and 'aesthetic beauty'. Second, the emotional changes of spaces with finishing materials of modern natural and classic natural image were evaluated from the 16 simulation images with lighting sources like LED, Three Wave and halogen as variables, and as a result, it was found that the emotional change of space regarding finishing material was greatest when 'halogen lamp' was applied rather than 'LED' or 'Three Wave'. Third, the vocabularies that showed the greatest emotional change were 'bright-dark' emotion in the case of 'comfort', 'plain-unique' emotion in the case of 'friendliness' and 'orderly-disorderly' emotion in the case of 'sense of being practical', and all these vocabularies were found to be affected the most when 'halogen lamp' is related with 'finishing material'. Meantime, in the case of 'aesthetic beauty', emotional change through the vocabulary of 'sophisticated-rustic' was the most conspicuous, and from this, it was noteworthy that the significant change shown when instead of 'halogen' or 'LED' lighting, 'Three Wave lamp' is related with finishing material. Fourth, it was found characteristic that 'LED' lighting works positively when expressing 'comfort', and 'Three Wave' and 'halogen' were found to satisfy all the space emotions 'comfort', 'friendliness', 'sense of being practical' and 'aesthetic beauty'. |
