Abstract In spite of moss’s various benefits (no soil planting, anti-cold, fixing carbon in body, fast photosynthesis and so others), the function and usability of moss have not been studied thoroughly. For that reason, the authors implemented simulation about the moss panel’s efficiency through PHPP, and evaluated that by installing in the experimental house, “e+ Green Home ” for one year. As the results, this study found out moss's several following characteristics through the observation of moss’s growth on green-wall. 1) Moss is very sensitive to daylight and have a different optimal exposure time by moss's species. 2) Moss could endure heat and cold, if it well roots in growth panel for two months or more. 3) Moss has strong resistance to cold more than other species like grass, therefore it wouldn't freeze to death in winter. 4) Falling drop watering system is economically better than squirting type. 5) Moss green-wall has possibility to prevent urban heat island effect and to improve insulation performance. Nevertheless we've found out moss's several characteristics, we need to do the related research for systems optimization such as watering system, moss’s own characteristics, function and other important factors.
