Abstract The town scale complex buildings has many functions and facilities in variety because it is needed various social needs and request. As a result, we can notice various social facilities, such as offices, housings, hotels, hospital, commercial centers and museum or art gallery in town scale complex buildings. But we also inquire how so many similar or different functions are connected and separated in logical way without conflicting each other. In this study, it is revealed that the technique of spatial connection is mainly done by adapting multi purpose commercial zone and intermediating spaces such as plaza, bridges, and it is also leaded to the technique of composition or separation of different-use spaces in same site.
