Abstract |
After the Industrial Revolution, environmental crisis and global warming have came to the fore with man's indiscriminate uses of natural resource. Western countries have started to seek the solutions to solve the environmental problems and global warming issues based on the theories of existing philosophies and politics. Therefore, only active architectural elements, which are technical based perspective, are emphasized green building planning. In this study, the objects are Korean traditional houses which were designed from feng shui ideas based on the wisdom of Korean ancestors. The overall aim of this study is to provide basic informations for architectural planning and strategies of design ideas through the comparison and analysis of modern passive architectural elements and past green building elements. |
