Abstract The purpose of this research is grasp of carbon dioxide emissions on road traffic which is main structure of the city in order to design constant spatial structure in green town against rapidly changing climate. For this study, First, we calculated the carbon dioxide emissions with Tier 3 method of IPCC G/L which counted VKT on each type of car at main roads in Daegu city. Second, we forecasted the traffic with spatial statistical techniques in order to reflect carbon dioxide emissions on the road on current traffic degree. Third, we visualized the chart of road traffic carbon dioxide emissions that divided carbon dioxide emissions that seized the characters of carbon dioxide emissions by predicted traffic ratio. As the result, road traffic carbon dioxide emissions in Daegu city is about 1,406,281 TonCO₂eq/yr and high emission areas are Buk-gu, Dalseo-gu and Suseong-gu.
