Abstract The purpose of this study is to evaluate performance of formaldehyde(HCHO) adsorption for improvement of decontamination of functional wallpaper added formaldehyde scavenger by its amount. Formaldehyde scavenger manufactured with ethylene urea(C3H6N2O) 35 weight percent, Glycol 2 weight percent and water(H2O) and it added to wallpapers during the manufacturing process. Ethylene urea has properties of to remove formaldehyde with a condensation reaction, and in widespread use recently. the wallpaper added formaldehyde scavenger manufactured in contrast to the weight of binder each case of 5%, 7%, 10%, 15%. It was conducted that to evaluate performance of formaldehyde adsorption for improvement of decontamination of functional wallpaper as compared each case. As a result, adsorption rate of formaldehyde for seven days was shown 50.43% when added 5 weight percent formaldehyde scavenger, 60.21% when added 7 weight percent, 63.45% when added 10 weight percent, and 73.58% when added 15 weight percent ,respectively. So, adsorption rate is as increased as added formaldehyde scavenger. Also, Total amount of adsorption is as increased as added formaldehyde scavenger. it was shown 5,736㎍/㎡ when added 15 weight percent formaldehyde scavenger
