Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to find the evaluation method for apartment residential environment, where residents can continuously reside and be satisfied. The components of apartment community are identified with physical, social and managerial factors. Field survey was carried out on four apartments in Haeundae New Town in Busan and questionnaire survey was conducted on the residents of those apartments. Residents' evaluation on community components are analyzed and compared with each other so that relationship between community components and overall residential satisfaction is figured through regression analysis. The results of survey research are as follows. 1) Subjects are more satisfied with landscaping and natural environment than the facilities built on the estates among the physical factors. 2) Subjects are dissatisfied with most items in social factors. 3) Subjects are more satisfied with managerial factors related to management of the daily living than those related to that of the apartment organizations. 4) The components of apartment community are significantly correlated with the residential satisfaction. Dairy living services are also most effective to residential satisfaction. On conclusion, it is necessary to pay more attention to the management of residents' living services; to activate residents' participation in community activities; to develop of various community programs and design the outdoor sports facilities and the entertaining places in order to create sustainable and healthy residential environment in apartments. |
