| Abstract |
The use of well selected Ritz vectors is shown to be very efficient in the dynamic analysis of large structures using modal superposition method. However, Ritz vectors are mostly used in the dynamic analysis of civil structures, they are rarely used in the dynamic analysis of building structures. Consideration of the trend toward larger building structures, it is necessary to study on the use of Ritz vectors in the building structures. Therefore, in this study, methods for the computer program development based on Ritz vector generation algorithm are investigated first, then some algorithms available in case of a computer program development are studied on the basis of investigated methods. On the basis of studied algorithms, a computer program sNs is developed, the results by this program is compared with the results by a program SAP2000 and theory for the verification of their accuracy. |
