| Abstract |
The number of public buildings built in traditional style have been increased particularly during last twenty years. This paper is to analyze the relationship between building types and architectural characteristics of such examples in southern Jeolla-do province, where public buildings in traditional styles are most popular. Five different types based on the level of traditional features are subjectified. And architecture characteristics such as completed year, scale of building use, building cost, and design are analyzed in each categories of building types. The result of the research implies various future directions for the design of public buildings in traditional style. |
