Abstract This study, analyzing the college admissions systems of foreign architectural programs, focused on the admissions systems of the B.Arch. Programs in the USA. It attempted to reveal what we have to consider in Korean architectural admissions systems. It selected excellent four architectural schools of the five-year B.Arch programs in the USA as well as the Ecole Nationale Superieure d'Architecture de Paris-Belleville of France and Tokyo University of Japan. It comprehensively examined the overall admissions system and process of the architectural schools by studying documents and having an interview with the admissions officers there. In order to consider the admissions process regarding architectural potential, this study needed to analyze the admissions systems of B.Arch programs in the USA, in which the admissions officer systems are already well established. The criteria of the examination are as follows: 1) admission requirements, 2) the admissions process and critical factors in the evaluation, 3) connecting systems between high schools and universities.
