Abstract This study reviewed the scoring system of th EPI to find out characteristics of seven non-residential buildings submitting the energy saving plan. And then 4 sectors was analyzed on architectural, mechanical, electrical and renewable energy aspects. The main results of this study are as follow. 1) All non-residential buildings were designed and applied on a similar level in more than half of all items. The characteristics difference was shown about 16∼23% of items by building use. 2) It was concluded that there are narrow variation in sum of average by building use and the more resonable result are derived when basic point of building use is applied one standard. It is determined that the criteria of basic point is the significant factor when the building uses are revised as basic point of building use is the most affecting item to the sum of EPI average.
