| Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects and side effects of the law amendments for hanok conservation for the past twelve years. Legislation amendments had positive effects on preventing deformation of hanok, preserving hanok allies, easing hanok owners' financial burden and improving their living environment. However, two purposes of law amendments, conserving hanoks and hanok allies and mitigating hanok owner's inconvenience, lost their balance and caused side effects such as increasing possibilities of destructing hanoks. We should seek a balance between regulation and mitigation, devise proper measures and reform the law from now on. |
