Abstract The purpose of this study is to determine the fire resistant axial load ratio for concrete columns as a concept of fire stress ratio which is the residual strength ratio of structural members when exposed to specific fire to the ordinary cold strength. It is necessary to set the typical cross section and boundary condition of concrete column member for reasonable evaluation of the concrete structural members. As a result of the fire resistance test for the variables corresponding to the size of section, axial force ratio and slenderness ratio based on the intact axial force with no eccentricity, it is considered that 0.5 and 0.45 axial forces are proper for less than 17 slenderness ratio and over 17 slenderness ratio respectively.
