Abstract The main purpose of this study is to examine factors affecting caregivers' satisfaction in the group-homes for the elderly with dementia. A variety of statistical analysis were used to understand caregivers' satisfaction with the data which obtained through questionnire, interview and survey of facilities in S, G and P cities, Gyeonggi province. 86 data excluding missing data were used to analyze. The results of this study were as follows; ⑴ Caregivers directly took care of residents for many hours. Residents recovered their health by degrees. ⑵ Caregivers in general expressed their satisfaction at environment of facility except for bedroom. Bedroom for 3~4 persons is universal in Korea. But the area of bedroom for 3~4 persons is not large to support the elderly's way of life and caregivers' scope of activity. The size of each space is demanded to be more larger than now. ⑶ Caregivers in general expressed their satisfaction at performance of their duties excluding monthly pay. They had a high opinion of themselves in their duties. ⑷ Caregivers' satisfaction bears a (positive) relation to residents' life and health.
