Abstract |
Up to now, in the study of chinese modern housing, few researches provide important results in regards to Li-Fen dwelling houses in Wuhan, China. Nevertheless, comparing to Li-Nong dwelling houses in Shanghai, the study of Li-Fen is relatively lacking both quantitatively and qualitatively. In some cases, Li-Fen dwelling houses are simply regarded as Li-Nong dwelling houses. Therefore, it would be worthwhile and meaningful to examine the current situation of Li-Fen dwellings so as better its protection and retrofitting in future. This study systematically introduced the evolvement of Li-Fen dwelling houses with a focus on historical culture and influencing factors. Also, its characteristics were discussed from the perspective of inner structures, part decorations, and spatial layouts. |
