Abstract |
This study is to suggest architectural planning conditions to improve the rate of general user and user's satisfaction on open space in building site for public use by performing statistic analysis. The rate of general user and user's satisfaction was figured out through user's questionnaire survey on 48 open spaces in building sites. On the basis of this survey, factorial analysis was conducted with multiple regression analysis in order to quantitatively analyze the architectural planning elements that increase the rate of general user and user's satisfaction. In the factorial analysis, the factors to increase the rate of general user were low floor area ratio, distance from station, possibility of short-cut, accessibility from road(openness). The factors to increase the user's satisfaction were distance from station, openness, quality as staying space. The common factors to increase the rate of general user and the user's satisfaction were about convenience of use and openness such as distance from station and visual blockage ratio. These proved very important architectural planning conditions when discussing the public use of open space in building site as a comfortable urban space that can be used freely by the general public. |
