Abstract |
The main purpose of this research is to develop an expert system that can present reasonable vertical transportation plan alternatives for high-rise buildings. The system is based on computerizing the experts' decision-making process in planning the vertical transportation with basic building information at an early design phase. We call the expert system developed through this research 'A-RIDE(Assistant?Architect-Rough and Instant Design for Elevator)'. A-RIDE is a integration of research results on vertical transportation system in high-rise buildings. This research has a significance in that the system can be used as a mechanism for integrating and accumulating scattered knowledge in this area. |
