| Abstract |
Construction estimate is a major factor in decision making for projects, and plays an important role in whole life of the project. Therefore, previous researches were conducted to analyze and survey quantity takeoff education at the university level. As a result, it was confirmed that due to limitations in quantity takeoff education materials which were made with texts and images, the non-professionals are lack of comprehensive understanding the process of the quantity surveying with the drawings. Thus, this study seeks to assist in effective quantity takeoff in building projects by supplementing the existing issues with quantity takeoff contents and developing a BIM-based quantity takeoff multimedia contents that use diverse media to increase the understanding on the subject for a non-professional. |
