Abstract |
The main purpose of this study is to investigate on residual mechanical performance of recycled coarse aggregate concrete (RCAC), after being subjected to high temperatures In this experiment, a control concrete mix made with natural coarse aggregates and two concrete mixes with RCA replacement ratio of 15% and 30% were designed Specimens were exposed for a period of 1℃/min to temperatures of 20℃, 20 0℃, 400 °C, 600°C and 800°C After cooling down to ambient temperature, the following basic mechanical properties were then evaluated and compared with reference values obtained prior to thermal exposure: (i) Residual compressive strength; (ii) Residual splitting tensile strength; (iii) Residual flexural strength; (iv) Elastic modulus; (v) SEM analysis & XRD analysis In addition, XRD and SEM Images analyses were performed to investigate chemical and physical characteristics of RCAC |
