Abstract Space syntax study in Korea has nearly 30-year history and shows quantitative growth of up to 20-30 pieces yearly on a number of published papers. The purpose of this study is to wrap the space syntax study trends in the 331 published papers in which space syntax was used as a research topic or research unit. The results are as follows; ① While the target space types are very diverse, urban structure(13.2%) is the most often space type followed by museum(11.8%), urban areas(10.6%), apartments complex(6.3%) and apartment units(5.1%). ② On the research problem, the studies 'clarifying attributes of space'(37.8%) and 'interpreting changes in spatial attributes'(19.4%) are most often meanwhile ones 'predicting human behavior'(23%) and 'predicting spatial phenomena'(7.9%) are steadily continued. ③ On the research mode, compared to the 'validation studies'(16.7%) to verify the space attributes-explaining power of space syntax indicators, the 'utilization studies'(62.2%) shows overwhelmingly high percentage, which presuppose the space attributes-explaining power of space syntax indicators. ④ On the analysis method, the type of interpreting spatial attributes only by space syntax indicator value ('quantitative' type, 21.5%) and the type of analysing the correlation with other quantitative variables ('quantitative-quantitative' type, 22.3%) have been increasing since 2000.
