Abstract |
City is suitable space to observe the complexity. Each urban elements which generate urban phenomenon has a specific relationship, they complicate the urban phenomenon by affecting to other elements or relationships. Complex system theory is one of methodology that used to determine the complex relationship between the elements. In this paper, as a first step to understand the complex system of the city, a simulation model that presents the transmission of information has been made. So the influence of information transmitted through the urban media and online networks is checked. Agent based model that allows control of the local level can track the changes in people's behavior. Therefore, utilizing the simulation model to prove that the information are able to influence the changes in people's behavior will contribute to the studies about the effective information transmission method. Through the simulation, it is possible to show that the urban media is changed the people's information awareness gradually. Also, when building a model to consider together the information sharing through social network, it is confirmed that people's information awareness is increasing more rapidly through simulation. |
