Abstract The purpose and main contents of this study are to suggest the method to make composite member in hybrid form through composing three kinds of structural materials which are glued laminated timber, structural square shape steel tube and cement mortar, and the beam-column framework system and to show that the wooden structure can become the long span structure and multi-layer structure through disclosing the structural performance and the composite effect by the bending strength test and the centroid compression strength test on those wooden structural composite members. According to the experiment results, it was judged that the wooden structural composite members maintain the composite state until the state of ultimate fracture while showing the structural performance sufficiently intended and it appeared that the wooden structural composite member showed an outstanding ductility capacity after the maximum load as well as the synergistic effect of strength and stiffness. In particular, to fill the high strength mortar within the square-shape steel tube in column member is considered not only to increase the compression strength greatly, but also to enhance the rigidity and consistency of the beam-column connections remarkably.
