Abstract The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between spatial centrality and crime using Korea safety map service. Crime risk data in the C city was obtained from the web-map service of 'Korea Safety Map', and spatial centrality indexes through angular and metric segment analysis with road-center lines were input to GIS. The result of GIS analysis was that the index of length weighted angular local integration(r=1,000m) was more correlated with crime and neighborhood commercial building area than any other indexes with various analysis radius. This means that the more central a space is, the more crime risk could be expected. However, the correlation coefficient was not so high. At the end of this paper, the meaning of this study was discussed.
