Abstract |
Remodeling emerged as the main alternative to aged apartment housing, along with current issues of sustainable development and green building in Korea. Nevertheless, due to the lack of expertise and objective decision-making tools, there are difficulties with finding an appropriate alternative plan in apartment remodeling. To resolve these issues, this study developed a decision support model to select an appropriate alternative plan based on the characteristics of apartment complex remodeling. According to the results, the model suggests extension remodeling (RPI index: 0.44) and customized remodeling (RPI index: 0.38) as appropriate alternative plans for union members and construction companies, respectively. These results, coinciding with their actual stance in the field, show that the developed decision support model selects an appropriate alternative plan reflecting opinions of both union members and construction companies. It is expected that the model enables the increase in housing satisfaction of residents after remodeling. Furthermore, it contributes to the sustainable development of the construction industry through the vitalization of the domestic remodeling business. |
