Abstract The purpose of this study is to deduct policy implications for efficient operation of public sports facilities by analyzing the influence of the physical, locational characteristics of domestic World Cup Stadiums on utilization ratio of facilities, and operating revenue. For Research methodology, this study conducted literature research, case study, and statistics analysis. As for statistics analysis, this study conducted factor analysis and correlation analysis using SPSS 19.0 program. Research Result, First, the results of operation condition analysis showed that Gwangju, Busan, and Suwon Worldcup Stadium improved their annual operating profit. but they were dependent on rental income to improve operating profit. Also, the number of days of use per year was very small, and the number of days used for hosting pure facilities and sporting events was significantly low. Second, the analysis of the planning characteristics affecting the facility activation revealed that the population density, floating population, the average income, and the leased area affect the facility activation. Also, The results of analysis of the correlation between the Area of leased facilities by type and the annual operating revenues indicate that the area of the auxiliary facilities for business, sales, neighborhood living facility were highly correlated.
