Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of the personal heating device on local thermal comfort of occupants. In this study, the field survey in a residential building was preceded with composite heating systems including the heating mat. The survey results show that most of the subjects preferred higher thermal sensation on their lower body parts. There is a big difference on comparison the survey results with the thermal comfort indices. In the case of buttocks, the skin temperature was the highest value of 37.3℃(maximum), and over 90% of subjects responded as 'comfort'. A logistic regression was used with the skin temperature and the survey results, and quantitative relation was carried out. Throughout this paper, the heating characteristics in residential buildings and the analysis of the local thermal comfort in actual conditions were carried out. |
