Abstract |
This study focused on the 'public architecture' of each local area as an alternative to local regeneration with a huge amount of funding. The
starting point of this study is the public architecture that can be used as a strategic resource for local regeneration as a hub for communities
for residents in the local area. The main content of the research is to identify the requirements of public architecture as a local regeneration
hub and problems in the current public architecture management system. Based on results of the study, the following direction is to be
presented for improvement of the public architecture management system to contribute to continuous local regeneration. The first results
reveal there is a need to actively introduce measures to dualize facility maintenance and program operation. Secondly, the results show the
participation of residents in public architecture management should be more active to reflect local demand. Thirdly, it is evident that the
management entity should establish and implement goals and strategies toward local regeneration. Lastly, public architecture must strive to
provide local community space. |
