Abstract |
On After World War II, 16 Grundsatze des Stadtabaus was instituted in East Germany in 1950, influenced by socialist realism based on the
Soviet Marxist-Leninist ideology. 16 Grundsatze des Stadtabaus had the greatest influence on architecture and urban planning in East Germany
until it became German. 16 Grundsatze des Stadtabaus consist of a total of 16 Principles, and the main content is the definition of cities,
city centers, and residences in the socialist ideology, and the rules for the role of the square, transportation, and residential environment. New
planned cities according to 16 Grundsatze des Stadtabaus were constructed, and buildings in the form of socialist classicism were built. In
particular, Plattenbau was supplied to the people as an industrial collective housing form expressing socialist ideology. 16 Grundsatze des
Stadtabaus was successful as a method of faithfully expressing the socialist ideology, but as a result, it created the limits of urban growth
and the inhuman living environment. |
