Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to analyze the perceptions and behavioral characteristics of university dormitory before and after COVID-19 and
explore future implications. The results of this study are as follows: First, the satisfaction level about private space(living space) increases as
the dormitory was operated as a single room after COVID-19, but the change of satisfaction level about public spaces(learning space,
exercise space, etc.) is small due to the closure of those spaces. Second, in terms of behavior, learning and hobby activities have increased
since COVID-19 due to increased residential times in dormitory. Thirdly, in terms of criminal safety, fear of crime has decreased
significantly since COVID-19. In conclusion, based on these results, it is thought that changes of university dormitory planning in the private
space where possible behavior in the shared spaces of the dormitory can be made in the future. |
