Abstract |
Although han-ok public buildings are facilities that can be experienced by the public, the structural characteristics of han-ok make it difficult
for the disabled, the elderly, and the vulnerable to access them. Therefore, this study would like to examine the current status of barrier-free
application of han-ok public buildings to improve accessibility for the disabled. For this, relevant laws and prior studies are reviewed, field
researches are conducted, and an analysis of status is conducted. As a result, elements properly applied to han-ok public buildings and
elements requiring improvement are identified. Although the clear width, slope, etc are appropriately satisfied with almost all investigations,
improvements are needed in flooring finishes, thresholds, handles, etc. By use, the appropriate installation ratio is low in cultural and
assembly facilities and there is no significant correlation in terms of size. And it has been confirmed that the obligation or recommendation
of convenience facilities for each target facility is not related to the appropriate installation ratio. Facilities used by the public should be
installed regardless of structure, use, size, and obligation, and if it is difficult to install them, measures for improvement should be prepared.
Therefore, for the barrier-free elements of han-ok public buildings to be actively applied, related research should be continuously conducted
and legal regulations should be strengthened, incentive support or certification system should be expanded. |
