Abstract Recently, through Living Lab operated by residents, there has been an active movement to solve and improve problems in urban regeneration areas. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop an "Alley Recorder Training Course" program for the operation of resident-participated Living Lab and analyze the educational growth process of participants. To this end, the "Alley Recorder Training Course" was developed, a systematic program for the operation of resident-participating Living Lab, conducted a four-month one-to-three-step program for residents, and examined the effect on residents who completed the Alley Recorder Training Course. The results of the study are as follows. First, the alley recorder training process increased the sense of community among residents. Second, the alley recorder training process had a positive impact on the change in residents' perception of village changes. Third, the Alley Recorder Training Course strengthened the ability of residents to make substantial changes in the village by participating in the recording living wrap. This study is significant in that it developed an educational program that allows residents to participate in initiative and verified its effectiveness.
