Abstract Energy and fire safety performances conflict with each other in structural properties; the types of Korean products that can satisfy all such performances are limited. In this study, a Super-Insulated Fire-Safety Door (SIFSD) was designed using a vacuum insulation panel (VIP) to satisfy both high energy performance and fire safety. To improve the performance of preventing condensation of a SIFSD, an appropriate design for the door frame was calculated using a 3D heat transfer program; the gasket shape was discovered with the fire-safety material to improve the airtightness of the SIFSD. The final designed SIFSD reflected in the laboratory test as 0.795 W/m2·K, and the performance of preventing condensation could be applied in the -20°C area. Despite the high insulation performance, a flame barrier performance of 90 minutes and a thermal barrier performance of 65 minutes were achieved.
