Abstract |
With the recent strengthening of fire safety standards for insulation materials, various composite insulation materials using fire-resistant
mineral insulation and low-radiation aluminum encapsulation have been developed. However, the thermal insulation performance of these
materials varies significantly depending on the KOLAS certified testing institution conducting the thermal transmission test. The performance
is often overestimated due to discrepancies in test results. For instance, results from SGS Korea are about half of the calculated values, while
those from KEL are around one-third. To reduce testing errors between KOLAS certified institutions, additional testing or monitoring by a
national public testing institution is necessary for cross-validation of the thermal transmission test results of composite insulation wall
assemblies. |
