Abstract |
Currently, which is imminent in a super-aged society, support for Home modification that reflects the housing conditions of the elderly and
the needs of Aging in Place is needed. This study examines the home-modification process and the outcomes of post-modification
assessments for Korean seniors who have undergone home modifications. Most participants had never received education or information about
the process. In some cases, modifications were made after only a brief consultation, leading to dissatisfaction with the results. To achieve
satisfactory home modifications, it is essential to provide residents with adequate information and involve experts who understand the home's
physical characteristics, as well as the resident’s aging and behavioral needs, to create a well-suited modification plan. It is significant as a
qualitative study that analyzed in-depth by implementation process, such as pre-education and information provision experience,
implementation, planning, and construction process for the elderly, and is significant in that it suggested ways to improve the actual process
through evaluation by elements after home modification. |
